About me.

I started off my writing career a little differently to most. I first joined the charity sector a decade ago as a fundraiser, working mainly with individual donors. But a few years back it became unavoidably clear that I liked writing copy more than any other aspect of the job.
So I decided to go solo and turn what I loved doing into a business. Today I direct that passion into my clients’ work to help them raise more money.
And although most of my clients are from the charity sector, I’m more than happy working with businesses too.
Do get in touch, whatever your copywriting needs, and I’ll see what I can do to help you.
I live in London with my lovely wife and wonderful two-year-old daughter. When not working I buy too many guitars and records.

James is an excellent wordsmith. He can really get to the heart of a charity’s values, and knows exactly the right choice of words to encourage their supporters to donate.
